Springhill Dads v P & O
Springhill Dads
After going 0 - 1 down, to a fluke cross into
the box. From the right side, the P&O winger played his shot which
sailed over Robbie and tucked just under the far corner of the cross bar.
You couldn't call that a lob, couldja? Then a masterly substitution
by the coach. Taking off that knackered old left back and bringing on
a different one proved to be the perfect touch. The Dads were now getting
back into the game and were imposing themselves on the young pretenders. Half time 0 - 1 After a fiercely fought second half with a lot of fancy dan stuff from the young lads and some controlled weezing from the Dads. Thomas finally sealed a great victory, against a very youthful P&O side, with a lovely stroked it through the goal mouth from the narrowest of angles. P&O were getting really desperate towards the end even trying to lob Robbie - no chance, not in a goal that size. But Robbie was forced to thank Jon Elms for 'saving his bacon' at one stage.I wonder how P&O will try to explain how they got turned over by that bunch of old blokes wot you were going to 'do' to their mates down pub! Who's up for giving Rob Frisby's, 'The Specials' a spanking.
Full time 2 - 1 The winning streak continues.
